Privacy policy
Your brief, your files and your identity are handled on a need-to-know basis. This page states exactly who sees what.
What we collect
Account data: your name, email address and, optionally, a phone number and country. Order data: the brief, subject, level, deadline, uploaded files and any messages you send in the order thread. Technical data: standard server logs and the minimum cookies needed to keep you signed in.
We do not ask for your student number, your institution or your course code, and you should not include them in files you upload.
Why we hold it
To create your account, match you with a suitable writer, deliver your order, handle revisions and refunds, and answer support requests. We also use aggregate, non-identifying order statistics to plan writer capacity.
Who can see it
Your writer sees the brief, the files attached to the order and your first name only. They never see your surname, email address or institution.
Administrators can see order records and messages in order to resolve disputes and assign work. Our infrastructure provider stores the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Nobody else has access, and we never sell data.
How long we keep it
Order files are retained for 12 months after completion so you can re-download them, then deleted. Account records are kept while your account is open and for six years afterwards where tax or accounting law requires it. You can request earlier deletion of order files at any time.
Security
Files are stored in a private bucket with per-user access rules enforced at the database level, not just in the interface. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider and never visible to us.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or object to processing. Email support@studenthelpp.com from your account address and we respond within 30 days.
If you are in the UK or EU, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Cookies
We set a session cookie to keep you signed in and a preference cookie to remember an unfinished order draft on your own device. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
